When we launched the IOTA Business Innovation Program, our goal was to empower builders to turn public DLT into practical infrastructure for the real economy.

Each new participant expands that vision. Following earlier entrants focused on supply-chain and tokenized-asset solutions, Turing Space is exploring how IOTA’s infrastructure can support digital identity and credential verification use cases – an essential layer of trust for digital economies.

Building a Global Trust Layer for Secure Digital Interactions

Trust is the foundation of every digital interaction, yet identity fraud, data manipulation, and inefficient verification processes continue to undermine it on a global scale. These pain points create a challenging environment for individuals and organizations alike, making cross-border interactions slow, insecure, and unreliable. 

Turing Space is building a solution to this global problem: a trust layer that leverages blockchain technology to provide secure, verifiable, and tamper-proof digital identities and credentials. Their digital credential verification platform Turing Certs is dedicated to making digital interactions faster, safer, and more trustworthy.

Digitizing Real-World Trust

Turing Certs provides secure issuance, management, and verification of e-credentials for everything from academic achievements to corporate identities. 

Turing Space has collaborated with organizations like the World Health Organization to issue digital certificates to over 12,000 volunteers across 150 countries, and helped verify over 3.5 million renewable energy certificates in Taiwan’s green energy trading system. These demonstrate how Turing Certs can handle large-scale, high-stakes credentialing use cases with ease.

By digitizing and anchoring certificates on-chain, Turing Certs aims to reduce verification time by up to 80% and administrative costs by up to 50%, all while supporting ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and GDPR compliance.

The platform places value on its ability to create immutable, traceable digital certificates that are secure from tampering, giving organizations the confidence that the credentials they receive are authentic.

• IOTA Notarization for immutable on-chain anchoring of hashed credentials.
• IOTA Gas Station for a low-friction end-user experience.
• IOTA Explorer for transparent access, allowing anyone to independently verify ledger entries.

Future Plans

Future ambitions include the integration of AI-driven fraud detection and quantum-resistant encryption.

Turing Space’s long-term vision is to evolve Turing Certs into a "lifelong passport" system: a comprehensive, tamper-proof digital repository that will capture and verify an individual's entire journey, from educational achievements and professional certifications to health records and personal milestones.

IOTA’s scalability ensures that such a borderless identity ecosystem can handle the vast data volumes this future will demand.
