From July 19–21, 2025, the IOTA Hackathon Malaysia 2025 will take place in Kuala Lumpur. A high-impact, single-track hackathon bringing together developers, students, and blockchain innovators from across the region. Organized by the IOTA Ecosystem DLT Foundation and Growth Charger, the event is part of Malaysia Blockchain Week.
With the successful launch of the IOTA Rebased Upgrade, the IOTA Foundation is now focused on attracting top-tier talent to build the next generation of real-world Web3 applications. Malaysia has long been a vibrant hub for Web3 innovation.
Now, with new possibilities unlocked by the paradigm-shifting Move programming language available on the IOTA network, we aim to tap into the country’s deep talent pool and collaborate with driven minds to develop practical, lasting solutions.

Location
- Day 1 and Day 2 will take place at Xsolla Curine Academy, located in KL Eco City.
- The final Demo Day will be held at the World Trade Center Kuala Lumpur, one of the city’s premier event venues.
During the first two days, participants will meet in Kuala Lumpur to form teams, build prototypes, and receive guidance from mentors. At the end of Day 2, the Top 20 teams will be selected to advance to Demo Day, where the Top 10 will pitch their solutions live to a jury of experts and special guests.
