IOTA Learn: Community Developer Hub
Ever since the inception of IOTA in 2015 we’ve aimed at doing things differently. Leaving the obvious differences aside (IOTA going beyond Blockchain), real world adoption and enabling the first “production ready use cases” have been our primary focus. With the launch of IOTA Learn we are getting closer to achieving this vision.
The main goal of IOTA Learn is to be a community-lead effort that makes this learning and creation around IOTA and other Blockchain projects collaborative and fun. Through hands-on developer tutorials in various languages (Javascript, Python, C#, Java, and more) and different difficulty levels we want to make it possible for anyone to learn how to build their own applications.
Through IOTA Learn we want to make it as easy as possible for anyone to integrate and benefit from IOTA’s key features (such as fee-less micropayments and secure, encrypted data transfer). Especially as the IOTA Foundation will unveil more projects in the coming months, having a central tutorial hub will be key to lower the entry barrier for developers to join our ecosystem.
You can read one of the very first tutorials and example applications here.
There is no better way to learn about something new, than to become the teacher yourself. We have setup an easy to follow process for you to submit your own tutorial and have your project featured on the homepage.
You can learn more about this process by reading our blog post.
In the coming weeks we will add additional features such as “Idea Submission”; public voting on ideas that should be implemented next; and even automated code execution together with our Sandbox environment.
We have several tutorials in the pipeline which we will post over the coming weeks. Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter to stay tuned!
