Welcome Alisa Maas to the IOTA Foundation
Alisa Maas graduated in Business Administration and has been active in the fields of mobility, IoT, logistics and fleet management since early 2010, gaining extensive topic expertise with regard to digital business models and product development.
In her role as Senior Product and Marketing Manager at Daimler FleetBoard GmbH, she successfully led several projects and product launches focused on Internet-of-Things and telematics-based services. Alisa defined the overall product and business strategy for the first open platform for trucks, providing 3rd parties real time access to vehicle data.
In 2016, she joined the Daimler innovation team which later became Daimler’s Incubator for new ventures focused on CASE: Connectivity, Autonomous vehicles, Shared economy, Electric vehicles. There she explored the limits of new technologies such as Augmented Reality and Distributed Ledger Technology in respect to real world applicability in the areas mobility, logistics and fleet management. Resulting from her work, she soon realized that transaction fees and lack of standardization are the key roadblock for adoption in these highly competitive and low margin markets. Consequently, Alisa discovered IOTA, immediately realizing the huge potential of its free of charge, lightweight and scalable technology.
The IOTA Foundation has it all: team, technology, form of organisation & ecosystem. I am very excited to be part of this movement to contribute pushing the envelope of technology and unlock the potential of IOTA for the mobility sector.
Personally, I believe that decentralized systems will also have a tremendous impact on society as the distribution of power & responsibility is a key tenet. The IOTA Foundation has the perfect setup to explore the potential of this technology in all dimensions.

Alisa has a very impressive background in the mobility sector, which is an active focus area for the IOTA Foundation, but also beyond that experience with cutting edge solutions and bringing them from the lab to the real world. Her understanding of the limitations in legacy DLT systems lead her to IOTA, which is precisely the intellects we love to bring on board. We are confident that she will bring a lot of value to the IOTA Foundation, and we are already actively working with her and her previous network on different solutions.
