Welcome Jake Cahill to the IOTA Foundation

Jake lives in Surrey, the United Kingdom where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in applied languages, including translation, French, Spanish, Arabic, and technical communication. Before IOTA, Jake worked as a technical writer and localization manager for a leading manufacturer of microprocessor-controlled prosthetics as well as a multichannel marketing platform.  

Jake is joining IOTA as Technical Writer in the Ecosystem team. In this role, Jake will focus on expanding, updating and ensuring the consistency of the documentation portal.

I find that a lot of information in this field is technical and full of new jargon, which makes it difficult for newcomers. My goal as Technical Writer is to write structured content in plain English, which is easy to understand for native and non-native speakers alike.

I love working in an open-source environment. Having feedback and input from the community is a luxury that many in the field don’t have. It’s a novel experience and one that I thoroughly enjoy. I’m honored to work with such great colleagues and I’m looking forward to being a part of the future of IOTA.

We are very happy officially announcing Jake Cahill joining the project, his experience as a technical writer is of great value to the IOTA foundation.
