On joining the IOTA Foundation:

Having looked into the use of traditional blockchain in healthcare, I was left unconvinced. I felt that the merits of the technology and potential use cases in healthcare were being significantly oversold.

However I think that IOTA has the potential to overcome many of the problems of traditional blockchain. And if it is lightweight and scalable enough to secure IoT data, then it could represent a common mechanism to secure data throughout the information ecosystem. Moreover, the measured approach of the founders of IOTA gives me confidence in the project!

Many of the components needed for healthcare data handling are common to other fields, so I hope that I can add value beyond the realms of healthcare.

We are happy to have yet another brilliant mind join the IOTA Foundation. Healthcare is one of the areas where Internet-of-Things will play a key role and we look forward to working with him on bringing IOTA to this arena in the new year!
